FIRST TRANSFER IN THE OCM!

 Hey everyone!

This week has been pretty nice. We had a going away party for the senior missionaries in our district, Elder and Sister Hansen, this week. They are such great people, I wish I could have served with them longer. They are headed back home tomorrow, we are going to miss them. I have been trying to find more people on Facebook now that it is getting colder and less people are just out walking around. I joined a Dayton Ohio dungeons and dragons Facebook group to try and find people there, so that has been kind of fun. We have been calling one of our friends that we are teaching every night and reading the Book of Mormon with him, it has been so cool to see his testimony of what we read together grow. We have had a couple of slow days because of people missing our lessons, so we have had to do a lot more contacting and cold calls this week. The lessons that have gone through have all been really good! We have some really amazing friends that are really progressing. I got insulted on the bus this week, that was fun. I was talking with this lady on the bus about sharing a message with her, and she said that she would be fine with that. So then I asked her about her beliefs and what her relationship with God is like, I thought that it was going pretty well, but then out of nowhere she just says "you're not very good at this" and moves away from me. That was really good for my self confidence. Ha ha. We went on exchanges this week with the zone leaders, that was a lot of fun! Elder Tauai and I got to hang out with Elder Habel! He is such a cool guy, he was on a mountain bike team back home, so we got to talk about that, and we got to ride around on our bikes with him. We went and dropped off a Book of Mormon, and then did contacting in the surrounding area. We had a ward Christmas party this week! That was a lot of fun, and it was good to get some real food. Ha ha. We had a big dinner, we talked, and we sang some Christmas songs. We brought some of our friends that we are teaching to the Christmas party, so that was really good to help them make some friends in the ward. We got sent home with the turkey skeleton, I am not sure what we are supposed to do with it. Ha ha. Elder Tauai and I had a big language study with everyone from our MTC on Saturday, it was really good to see them all again, even If it was just over zoom. We also had transfer calls on Saturday! My whole companionship Is staying put, so that is good, but Elder Cox and Elder Womack are both being transferred out. I'm going to miss those guys. It has been fun having them around and sharing a car with them. It is sad to think that they are going to be leaving tomorrow. I haven't done much yet today, I've just done my laundry and sewed a button back onto my shirt, I am pretty proud of that though. Ha ha. It has been a solid week with some really cool and spiritual experiences. I am excited for this transfer and I am glad that I get to keep teaching the awesome people of Dayton! Have a great week everyone!
