A COUPLE DAYS IN BATESVILLE
Hey everyone!
It's been an exciting and eventful week! On Tuesday we had transfers, I packed my bags, said goodbye to můj Brater, and came here to Batesville. I unpacked my bags, got to see some of the area, met one of the members and then was told that I will be leaving soon. On Tuesday I got a call from my Mission President, he told me that my visa had gone through and that I will be flying to the Czech Republic on Thursday! I am super excited and nervous, I am excited to see just how little Czech I actually know. Ha ha. I think it will be a great experience, though I am a little sad that I don't have more time to get to know this area and all of the amazing members here.
Everyone that I've talked to here has been super nice and the members are amazing. There are a lot of Catholic churches in the area, so lots of people, when they hear that we are missionaries, just tell us that they already have a church. It has been weird going from a big city where we had 5-6 lessons a day to a small town where we have less than that in a week. We have been doing a lot of finding, knocking on lots of doors.
We actually found a lady right next door to our apartment, she seems super prepared to learn the gospel. She asked us a bunch of questions about what we believe, we ended up covering things from the restoration all the way to the word of wisdom and the law of chastity. It was really cool to see how interested she is in learning, we gave her a book of Mormon and she started reading it that night. I am excited to see how she progresses, at least for the next few days. Ha ha.
Sorry, I'm not sure that I've taken a single picture since I got here to Batesville, but I have some from transfers that I'll attach.
