EXCHANGES IN OLOMOUC

Hey everyone, it's been another great week here in Uherské Hradiště. It's been a fairly busy week, so that has been good.

English club was good this week, we had most everyone show up, though a few were missing. It's been a while since anyone new showed up, but we just keep advertising it. We had to inform everyone that the next English club would be moved to Wednesday because we have a fireside this upcoming Tuesday. 

I designed some Czech passalong cards to use when we are out contacting on the street and what-not. Our ward mission leader is going to print them out for us, it should be good. I am pretty happy with how the design turned out, but I guess we'll see with the finished product. Not very many missionaries go street contacting here, but I hope that these passalong cards will help with random encounters.

I had exchanges in Olomouc this week. We traveled over there on Thursday, spent the night and then traveled back to UH after district council. Exchanges were really fun, we split into two groups and worked on separate things. Elder Jenkins (my district leader) and I went and translated for a temple recommend interview for Elder Anderson (a senior missionary here who is also the branch president of Olomouc). He doesn't speak Czech, so we had to translate for him and the interviewee. Elder Jenkins knows a lot more Czech than I do, but I was actually able to understand most of the conversation and I even helped In a few small ways. That was really cool. Also on exchanges we found a creepy looking bird person skeleton thing statue, so that was fun. Pictures are below.

District council was good, I gave a training on applying the atonement to missionary work. I also gave a talk in church, that was a little scary because it was all in Czech, but it turned out alright.
