GREAT WEEK
Hey everyone! It's been another great week here in Uherské Hradiště. We have had some exciting things happen this week!
I got to go on a pretty cool adventure on Tuesday, our ward mission leader has a friend who needed help in his garden. We actually never got his name, he didn't speak any English, so it was a little difficult to communicate with him, ha ha, but it was actually really cool how well we were able to talk with him. He had a beautiful garden with lots of flowers and fruit trees. We picked cherrys and strawberries and we hauled some wood for him. He was a really cool guy, he gave us lunch and showed us a nearby wine cellar where they ferment the wine. It was really cool.
We had some lessons this week, one with a less active member, one with a sweet old lady that we know from our English club, and one with a member family in our ward. They all went really well, I hope to see all three of them at church this week. Ha ha. As far as finding other people to teach goes, we recently just made an ad on Facebook to try and find people who are interested in learning about the gospel, and it has been doing well. So far we have gotten a referral for every day that it has been running, and we should start meeting with some of them this week.
Another thing that happened this week was getting attacked on the way to district council. Ha ha. We were walking to the train station and as we passed a guy on the street he kicked me in the but. At first I thought that it was Elder Davis because he has kicked my bag before, but then I realized that he was walking right beside me so it couldn't have been him. A moment later while I was trying to figure it out he came and shoved both Elder Davis and I from behind. We turned around to see him, an old drunk guy swearing at us in Czech. He stopped and we just walked away, we still have no idea what his deal was, oh well. Later in the day we got bashed by a jahovas witness, so that was fun, ha ha.
We also worked in Brother Kvasnička's garden this week, we cut the grass because it got super long, I got to use a weedeater and a scythe. I also found the biggest snail I've ever seen, so that was fun. Ha ha.
That's about it for this week. I hope that you are all doing great, have a wonderful week! Until next time, čau.
Pictures are of garden, wine cellar, district council and the snail.
