MY NAME'S PEPA

Hey everyone, it's been another fantastic week here in Pardubice. This week has been good, we had a few good lessons, some lessons that didn't happen, exchanges with the zone leaders and stake conference in Prague.

We recently started teaching a lady from our English class, she is amazing. Sadly she wasn't able to make it to stake conference this weekend, but we hope that she'll be at sacrament meeting next week.

We had exchanges with the zone leaders this week, I got to go with Elder Freeman. We had a lesson over the phone with someone we met on the street the other week, made some phone calls and went street contacting. Sometimes when we're on exchanges we will use the other companionships phone to call people who we suspect have blocked our phone number, or who are ignoring our calls. Haha. So Elder Freeman had me call up a few of his friends, sadly we still weren't able to get a hold of them. While Elder Freeman and I were street contacting in a park a little kid rode up to us on a scooter, said in English "my name's Pepa" and then rode away. It was really funny.

We had a lesson scheduled with a guy in Chrudim this week, we went there and he didn't show. That was pretty lame, but at least we got to watch some crazy drunk people and get some cool pictures in the thick fog.

We had stake conference in Prague this week, last time I was in Uherské Hradiště during stake conference so I wasn't able to make the trip, but I could this time! Stake conference is really amazing here, since the whole country is all one stake it is kind of like a huge family reunion from all over the country when everyone gathers in to Prague. The talks were amazing, our mission president and his wife gave talks, they were great. It was really fun to see lots of people there, I got to see some members from Uherské Hradiště and catch up with them a little bit, I was happy to hear when they said that my Czech had improved a lot since the last time they had seen me. Haha.

Since there isn't any Thanksgiving in Czechia, we're starting to go full swing into Christmas, there's a huge tree in the náměstí and lights and decorations are getting put up everywhere. I'm really excited for the Christmas season here, I've heard really good things about it. Speaking of Thanksgiving though, I am in good hands, the mission is going to celebrate and have a Thanksgiving dinner all together as part of a special mission conference, I'm really excited for that. On top of that, there is a half American family in our ward and they invited us over to have an early Thanksgiving dinner with them as well.

I think that's about it for this week. I hope that you are all doing great! Until next week, čau!
